Outweigh Fears

Fear of failure is one of the greatest fears people have. Fear of failure is closely related to fear of criticism and fear of rejection. Successful people overcome their fear of failure. Fear incapacitates unsuccessful people. Most people self-limit themselves. Most people do not achieve a fraction of what they are capable of achieving because they are afraid to try because they are afraid they will fail. Take steps to outweigh fear and move forward to getting the desired result.

Faith is a very important ingredient in our life and the best method to outweigh any type of fear. Now, the humanistic view is to have faith in our self. The providential view is to have faith in circumstances. The brotherhood view is to have faith in our fellowman. The problem is that all of these will sooner or later fail. However, there is a type of faith that never fails because it is based upon someone who never fails. And that is God himself, and when we have that undying faith in Him, it brings security and prosperity. It enables us to work the works of God. The faith that proceeds from God causes God to intervene in our lives in a supernatural way as we receive it and act upon it.

Fill the mind with such a large quantity of faith that fears will actually be flooded away. By this method God’s power does for us, what we cannot do for our self. Our part is simply to believe, trust and surrender to this power. Let His tremendous strength lift us above fear. You are not alone for He is with you. Your friend, your support, He is always with you. No fear on earth is greater than this fact. Use the power of prayer to heal fear. When we really pray with powerful intensity of belief and earnestness, we can turn out our insecurity and fear gaining new confidence. When an individual is close to God, in harmony with God, then his weakness, his self doubts and his fears disintegrate.

Fear is like a devil inside, it is our enemy and still we give space to this enemy and at times welcome it in our thoughts. And in the process become a victim of doubt and fear. Immediately command them to leave and the soul shall be flooded with joy and peace. Get the power and authority over fear. Here are few Action Steps:

It may not be possible at first go, but let us use the displacement and substitutionary method of eliminating it. Accentuate the positive. To turn the mind away from fear, enlist pleasant thoughts and memories. When tempted to start dwelling on something negative, replace it with something that's good and true.

Take action. Face fear head on. Action gives the power to change the circumstances. Overcome the inertia by doing something. A fear faced is often a fear defeated. An old saying goes, "Boats are safe anchored in the harbor, but that's not what boats are made for. One might be fearful but take action anyways. DO SOMETHING NOW.

Persist. Successful people just don’t give up. They keep trying different approaches to achieve their outcomes until they finally get the results they want. Unsuccessful people try one thing that doesn’t work and then give up.

Failure is not personal. Failure is about behavior, outcomes, and results. Failure is not a personality characteristic. Because you made a mistake, doesn’t mean that you are a failure. Making mistakes is healthy, it gives an opportunity to learn and be better. Go ahead and make mistakes this is the formula for success, learn from them and move again.

Although we all make mistakes, fear of failure doesn’t have to cripple you. Fear is a reality of life. It is true for believers and anyone else. However, those who are grounded in faith and spirituality, find that they have God to lean back on when the going gets tough. We don't have to let fear defeat us. We can triumph over it and feel safe. For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Do things differently.
There is an old saying, “if you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.” If you’re not getting the results you want, then you must do something different.

Faith and fear both come from our believing. Wrong believing brings fear. Right believing brings faith. Keep spirituality strong. Pay attention to spiritual life. It will help tide over the difficult times. Keep up regularly on prayer, worship, fellowship, and service.

Fear is inversely proportional to faith. The more faith one has less fear would exist, and even vice verse. If one gets disturbed and bothered by small things, (small and big is individual perception to it) means the faith in Lord is less. Increase your faith in God and keep on increasing till the fear vanishes.

A lot of our insecurities come from an unspoken awareness that we've veered off the path from God or from our inner fear that we're not living as we're called to live. So if one has to be scared or fearful, fear your own bad deeds, your own negative thoughts. Avoid these and become spiritually strong, being strong spiritually, means that we feel that we are walking where we are meant to walk, and that we are being watched and protected by God. There's enormous security in that feeling and it shall outweigh any fear.

Rehabilitation Of Thoughts

People involved in self-improvement have long known that their thoughts and beliefs affect every area of their life; the universal Law of Attraction tells us that we attract and create our life with our mind, our thoughts. One can rehabilitate thoughts for prosperity through personal spiritual growth, renew faith and revamp belief system and watch the life change! Mind is a powerful instrument and potent tool. Once we truly comprehend who we really are and how abundant the universe truly is, we can begin to develop faith in the law of attraction process. Our body is an instrument to attract whatever we need. The electrical system in our body contains enormous electricity and potential. If we look at our life now, realize that anything incredible that we have attracted into our life is because we were on an incredible vibration.

Many people go through their lives without understanding why they make the same mistakes again and again, follow the same patterns, and live in the same ruts. They aren't happy with their present situation, but they seem to be unable to make any lasting changes. If we keep thinking in the same pattern, the same issues shall repeat, if we want some major difference, then we shall have to rehabilitate our own thoughts. It requires a conscious effort.

On the other side remembering a negative past is equally a concern. To remember is to think, which is to create. So if we remember problems from your past, we simply recreate those problems in the present. The best thing you can do with a painful past is to either forget it or reinterpret it in a positive light. Again, the solution is to create a discontinuity by exercising imagination. Stop observing the past and the present which you don’t like, and spend more time cultivating a better reality in imagination until it starts to feel even more real to than the present external circumstances. Eventually external reality will shift to align itself with the imagination.

Perhaps you've attend seminars, read books, and taken courses, but, in the end, fallen back into the same dysfunctional patterns you've always followed! Why does it always turn out this way? We struggle to make permanent changes in our lives because we input information only into our conscious mind. Here's the problem: conscious mind is not what directs behaviors and belief system. To change behavior, one must first reprogram the hard-wired center of mind: the subconscious mind.
How Does Subconscious Mind Work?

The subconscious is the largest part of our mind. It contains all the messages we've received throughout our lives. It holds millions and millions of thoughts grouped into clusters that form beliefs, mindsets and character traits.

The relationship between the conscious and subconscious minds is like an iceberg. The conscious mind is represented by the visible tip of the iceberg, while the subconscious is represented by the gigantic lower portion of the iceberg hidden from view. We can't see the subconscious in action, but it certainly has a major impact on the voyage we take in your life.

The subconscious is the place where all of our learned behaviors reside. Once we learn to walk, we don't need to consider how to lift and place each foot to take the next step, do you? Of course not! Your subconscious mind automatically controls your steps.

Subconscious learns behavior through repetition and practice. Just as it learned to control our footsteps when we learned to walk, it also controls our footsteps in our life's journey based on what you've reinforced throughout your life.

The good news is we can reprogram our subconscious mind by inputting and reinforcing new thoughts and actions! This is rehabilitation of thoughts. There are several different techniques one can use to tap into the subconscious mind and reprogram how it works.

Here are some techniques to use to rehabilitate thoughts and improve life:

1. Affirmations work to change subconscious mind; by using positive, personal, present tense statements to override the embedded negative thinking. Repeat these positive thoughts and create new pathways in subconscious, giving it new attitudes.

2. Visualization is the act of creating detailed mental pictures that depict a desired outcome so see success for yourself. These images stimulate the subconscious into accepting them as reality, which then directs behavior accordingly. Top athletes around the world use this technique.

3. Some types of therapy work with the subconscious mind, including Meditation. Meditation works by easing you into a state of extreme relaxation. Once you're in this state, the conscious mind releases its grip, and the subconscious mind is easier to access, it's much easier to reprogram the subconscious into accepting new thoughts as reality.

Imagine the freedom of living life without the automatic dysfunctional behaviors driving for years! When we transform our negative outlook into a positive one, we can accomplish so much more. In doing so, our mind is released from negative programming, allowing excelling and succeeding throughout our life.

Abundance Stimulator

There are certain laws of abundance, the most important one is that abundance even operates in the most desolate and desperate circumstances. It is capable of stimulating forces which result in astonishing readjustment of conditions and that is perhaps the most important thing, a constructive attitude towards conditions.

Believe, Pray, Think, and Give- these are four horsemen of abundance. Abundance does not come by praying for things, money and possessions. Instead pray for insights and ideas. These can be turned into useful implements to enrich life. Actually all values are in the mind. Creative achievement is in the mind. We have abundance within us. One can think his way to all manner of good if and only if one can think and create new positive thoughts.

Abundance is a wonderful word. In Latin it means- “to rise up in waves”. When we think and practice abundance we stimulate all good things to rise up to us during the time when we are facing troubles or challenges. To receive the good things of the life one must first give. I would not over emphasize its importance when I say; giving can change any one’s situation.

Laws of divine abundance exist all around us, that is how creator had planned. It is man who has messed up with the supply of good to all, by his crude interference. But still if we follow a simple thing as the giving of the self, of thoughts, of money, of time, of helpfulness, the abundance is stimulated and it starts flowing in your life. The results of putting this technique into practice are almost miraculous. It has to be simply the way of life.

Abundance is already there; ready to shower on us all available good things on this earth. All we need to do is to stimulate the flow of abundance by giving. We have to develop certain stimulator in our day to day habits, that is certain attitudes which will start and maintain the flow of abundance. To create the abundance mindset, be willing to give. It’s not that complicated, really.

But let’s think for a minute; what do most of us do instead? When we have a great idea, we hoard that idea. We don’t give it away. We shelter and protect it. We keep it to ourselves in fear that someone else might take it. We think, “I better save that idea for later.” We don’t share our ideas or give them away – we keep them. This blocks the flow of good things.

More than anything else, God wants us. And, anything we give without giving our self is only a token of what we truly owe to the Lord. So whatever is your job, profession, work, student etc.. just give your 100% in it.

So many times when we talk about giving, only money comes to our mind. There are many things that can be given apart from money. Give what you got because giving signals “more-than-enoughness.” It signals abundance. When you’re in a state of giving, and giving willingly you’re telling others (and yourself) that there is plenty. That there is more than enough for everyone. Give your time, information, talents, encouragement, acknowledgment, thoughts, compliments, kindness, smiles, love and money.

You receive through the same doorway through which you give. The way to receive freely is to give freely. Quality is more important than quantity, since the universe amplifies thought into circumstance. Begin giving generously, cheerfully, happily, willfully and do so often.

Here are 6 ways to give and create the abundance stimulator:
• Want more time? If that’s the case, give away some time. Find an organization or a person that you really love and volunteer some of your time. Give time away.
• Want love? Got to give some before you get some. You feel loved even when you give some.
• Short on Cash? Give some away. Givers gain.
Are you stuck? Want to get unstuck? Help others first. When we help others wholeheartedly, help will always come back to us.
• Lacking self-belief? Lack self-belief then give away that belief to others. Find someone who is lacking in self-confidence or in self-belief and give them a boost. Fill their mind with positive ideas. Instill belief in others and belief will come back flowing abundantly.
• Short on ideas? Short on creative ideas, give them away! Give others creative ways to increase business. Give ideas away and ideas will flood right back to you.

With all of these tips, we have to start from where we are. We can’t give what we don’t have. Be willing to give what you got from where you are and I promise you – abundance will flow into your life. Let us actively create the abundance stimulator.

One Light

Life sometimes becomes a road full of stones and thorns… a dead-end labyrinth. Pain invades each one of the days; one is caught in a world that seems not to understand you, a superficial and unjust world. At such times, one only tries to fit, going with the flow, being a “normal” person, with a “normal” life……But something, inside, it’s calling……

When there is darkness in the life, only one Light is required, as to remove any darkness a small light is enough. Surprisingly we carry that one light within us, and its presence can only be felt when one crosses through the darkness. Since without darkness there is no light, darkness must not be a bad thing, but essential. It is the play of the two that fills us with wonder. Light that shines in the darkness, a light that darkness could not overpower.

The real test of this one light is when suddenly, quiet life finishes, the balance which was earlier there, is broken and the “normality” of life breaks to pieces. Chaos and crisis happens… and one asks why…? Why me……? Chaos and destruction are necessary. When one is far from his road and is not listening to his own heart, life has ways to make you return to your own path. Because something, inside you, continues calling…..the light inside is calling……..

Only when one surrenders and listens to this light and follows the true beat of the heart one is able to transcend one’s own barriers, insecurities and fears, without caring what others would say. You open your eyes and you begin to flow with the same universe… light takes charge of taking you to the right place where you should be. And then you begin to understand… Each moment, each person, each situation… everything has a reason of being. Pieces perfectly fit. Everything, absolutely everything, has contributed to take you to the place where you are and to be the person that you are. And something, inside yourself, calls louder now ……..
And then the heart seems to wake up… and one sees that all the answers always looked for were there, within reach of one’s hand. When looking toward inside, we can see our true nature… a spark of light, a sigh of love. And now, beating of the heart marks the rhythm of our steps. We have begun to respond to the call….. our soul smiles.

And one discovers that, no matter what happens, nothing can stop the passion of the soul looking for light. Later or earlier, we’ll hug our true essence, because our soul remembers its origin and quietly guides so that we learn how to fly again. When we recover your wings…… there is balance and harmony in everything we do and achieve. Appreciating the abundance of life, the reality of both the physical light and the spiritual light and in recognizing the unique gifts we have and we have to share with the world.

When eyes are opened, fears are faced, and life is embraced. That’s the place to start when we want to make our way to the light. Writers and philosophers have suggested that hope, which is arguably the most precious of all things, begins in the dark. “The stubborn hope,” “that if you just show up and do the right thing, the dawn will come. It is the law of nature; darkness is followed by the morning light. One has to just wait, watch and work, and don’t give up.

Each life is a miracle. Each of us is a miracle. We cannot explain by logic or experience where we come from before birth or where we go after death. We have no way to comprehend the mystery of life or the mystery of our universe. We can only appreciate that we exist on this Earth at this time in this vast and expanding universe, and try to use our precious lives for good purposes.

Hope must be a conscious choice. There are always reasons for giving up and retreating into selfishness, ignorance and apathy. If you want hope, you must choose it. It will not necessarily choose you. The way to choose hope is by your actions to achieve a better world.

There are important reasons, though, to have hope. The most important reason for me is the power of the human spirit. The human spirit is amazing. It is capable of achieving sublime beauty and overcoming tremendous obstacles. All greatness - in art, music, literature, science, engineering and peace - is a triumph of the human spirit. But the greatest triumph of the human spirit comes from choosing a compassionate goal and persisting in overcoming obstacles to achieve this goal. All worthy goals require persistence to achieve. They will not happen overnight.

The greatest enemies of change are selfishness, apathy and ignorance. These are the enemies of hope. I urge one should resist these at all costs.

Selfishness is a narrow way to live. It is about what you have, not what you do and give. Rich lives are not about the money we accumulate, but about the ways in which we interconnect and help others. The antidote to selfishness is compassion, built upon helping others.

Apathy is about not caring about others. It is a lack of interest and a failure to engage in trying to make a difference. The antidote to apathy is caring and commitment.

Ignorance in the midst of information is also about not caring - not caring enough to find out about the problems that confront us. Hope and help are needed. The antidote to ignorance is knowledge.

We must be seekers of knowledge, not for its own sake but to better understand our world so that we can engage in it and break our bonds of selfishness with a compassionate response to life. I don't think this is asking too much of ourselves or each other. It is the essence of being human, carrying one light with us in the darkness and finding our way out to our ultimate goal.

Conditioning To Success

People create their own good or bad luck by their own thoughts. Conditioning to success is nothing else but conditioning our thoughts to success. We have to stop creating our own failure, we have to stop being afraid of success. One of the greatest facts in this world is that when a man changes and really changes in the God- centered way, everything changes for good. Here I am referring to just the change of thought from negative to positive if you want success, otherwise vice verse option is always there.

Our conditioning controls us, and thus, the actions, results and consequences of our life. You are where you are today as a result of your conditioning. It controls our emotions, feelings, actions and decisions. It is OUR central programming. We should really understand our “conditioning?” And, why is it so important?

First, let me assure that the state of conditioning is absolutely critical to the state of our life and it is the most important factor – out of the many factors and elements – in whether or not we will achieve the life that we Desire. No matter how much or what one study’s, or what actions one takes (or fail to take), if the conditioning is “faulty,” one shall not achieve the Desired Results. Indeed, the Law of Attraction – as well as the other Universal Laws – is absolutely useless if one has, and engages in, faulty conditioning.

Conditioning – Regardless of the kind and regardless to what extent we are actively involved as to the nature, level and extent of the content – takes place all day long, each day. We continue to condition ourselves, whether we know it or not, whether we like it or not.

And, the worst part about it is that 99% of the input data is NOT TRUE. Yes, that’s right – it’s NOT TRUE! We make it up, assign meaning to it, and then live by it. Nothing is really “true” unless we say it is!

There are two kinds of people tough minded and tender minded. Tender minded are the one’s who under obstacles and difficulties are influenced by criticism and lose heart easily. They whine and fail. While tough minded are the people from all walks of life, who have a strong element of toughness built into them, with the help of Almighty God. They have the inner power to stand up to any difficulty; they have what it takes to take it. All their actions indicate as if it is impossible to fail. Help from Him is necessary.

First step to conditioning of success is to never give up- never give in; stand up to it- fight it through with the aid from the God thus becoming a strong person, well able to bear the weight of life most successfully.

Conditioning to success is to condition yourself on day to day jobs, by conditioning and reconditioning the thoughts, and creating thoughts of success, good and winning. The thought is the ancestor of the deed, if the mind is conditioned with the thoughts of success; the deeds of success naturally tend to follow. But notice that an important ingredient of this pattern is to ask for God’s help.

Clearly define what success means to you. And if that is in harmony with God’s desire for you than you shall receive it. But if your defined success is just superficial wealth or material success than it might not be in harmony with His plan. Because His desire is to give us real riches, successful in all aspects economic, social, spiritual, intellectual, and physical. Don’t underestimate the good things that God wants for us and shall give us, if and only if we shall learn to receive.

The quality of our life is the quality of the questions we ask our self every day. The questions should be designed in such a way to cause an experience of more happiness, excitement, pride, gratitude, joy, commitment, and love every day in all aspects of life. That is how day to day conditioning for success can be worked out. On the other side if you are asking yourself how can I be successful? Pay attention to mental block or doubt you encounter on a daily basis. We all experience these feelings. How many times have you allowed these thoughts or feelings to consume you and affect your productivity? If negative thoughts in your sub-conscious control your conscious feelings than how can you succeed.

If we want to succeed in anything in this world we need to do the things that make the difference to whether we succeed or not because there are no in-between measures for the winners. The biggest obstacle we face in reaching our goals is ourselves. The understanding and controlling of our mental conditioning is critical to our success.

One can do and achieve any amount of success, if first you can believe that you can. Believing opens the channels of creative and dynamic good. It sets power flowing in even the most difficult circumstances. In the worst moment of defeat look for victory. Think Big, pray Big, Believe Big, Act Big and you shall become Big.

Accept Challenges

Challenges and struggle are part and parcel of life. We need to learn how to overcome challenges and struggle in order to move forward in life. They actually help to strengthen and make us stronger. A person who has never struggled or overcome challenges is a person who isn’t moving forward in life.

Many years ago me and my brother were playing in our garden and there we came across a cocoon, we found it really interesting as the caterpillar was struggling inside to come out, we brought it with us in the courtyard, my mom saw us and told us that in a short while a beautiful butterfly will come out of this cocoon, but let it struggle and come out on its own, we should not help it come out.

Mom left saying this inside. Both of us were waiting anxiously, we could see the butterfly struggling hard to get out of the cocoon. Meanwhile my brother took pity and decided to go against the advice of mom by assisting the butterfly out of the cocoon. He could not bear to see the butterfly struggle and decided to break the cocoon.

Shortly after-wards we were shocked to see that the butterfly’s wings became crippled because of our kind efforts. It crawled for a while and then died. We were really sad as we could never see it flying. It was only later when mom came and explained us that the poor creature had to go through that painful process. The butterfly needed to struggle out of the cocoon so it could emerge whole and capable of flight. She told us that by helping the butterfly, we have actually killed it because the butterfly needed to struggle to help develop and strengthen its wings. Without going through the process, the butterfly will die.

Although later I read this as a story, which is very simple but it brings across a powerful message. Human beings are the same, we all need to struggle and overcome our challenges in life. We will become stronger every time we overcome our challenges. So if you encounter a challenge in your life right now, don’t run away from it, face your challenge and develop yourself through the process. This story describes challenges and struggles are part and parcel of life…You can only have abundant life if you develop strength and courage through struggle and challenges! If AN EGG IS BROKEN BY AN OUTSIDE FORCE...A LIFE ENDS. IF AN EGG BREAKS FROM WITHIN.......LIFE BEGINS. GREAT THINGS ALWAYS BEGIN FROM WITHIN.

So when the life throws a next challenge, let us first welcome it, embrace it, and then work on our self, transforming internally. With every challenge overcome, in the process we have to get BETTER and not BITTER. How is a question?

Surprisingly, all life challenges are initiated by the Soul. Though it can appear that our problems come from other people, society and circumstances, in fact, they arise to support our personal growth in consciousness.

Every challenge is something – usually an energy or a quality – trying to become a part of our consciousness. Because we are not yet familiar with this energy, we have to learn what it is and how to incorporate it into our life. When it is incorporated, this produces transformation.

Our tensions, wounds and fears are both our greatest blocks and our greatest catalysts for developing personality and developing soul consciousness. Everything happens at the right time for the right reason …Pain and suffering are gateways to expanded consciousness.

Today I am addressing one such concern, which all of us face every second day in life. Dealing with Difficult People – Those Challenging Moments; It may be a family member, co-worker, or boss that causes our frustration. Personalities collide, tempers flare, and we say and do things which are not appropriate.
But one should challenge the challenge and not the people one deals with because, if I am facing a concern dealing with someone, then the real issue is with me only and not the other person and that is the approach to challenge this challenge. There are some steps we can take that will not only guard us against further stress, but help us establish a healthy attitude during those challenging moments.

Difficult people cultivate anxiety, resentment, or feelings of inadequacy. At times, a brief encounter with that disruptive individual ruins our entire day. Any long-term relationships with difficult people create tension that mounts with each passing day. Regardless of the length of the confrontation, we often find ourselves feeling miserable.

When dealing with difficult people, we must accept that we cannot control the attitude of others. Regardless of our efforts, we cannot change another person’s attitude or heart. We also become a “difficult person” at times when we judge another individual.

There is a very simple way of dealing with difficult people: “Stop judging others and you will not be judged. Treat others just like the way you want to be treated. Whatever measure you use in judging others, it will be used to measure how you are judged by them”.

Dealing with difficult people requires qualities that go against our human nature. We are all resistant to change our opinions, especially if it requires laying down our rights. But when we reflect God’s nature, His peace can transform the most difficult of relationships. When we overlook other’s faults, God looks over us. “. . . Clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Let's make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive the person who offends us. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. .and accept the fact that each human being has some imperfections, accept them gracefully.

Travelling- Widen our Horizons

Travel widens our horizon of knowledge. It broadens the mind and enlarges the heart. It is ever enjoyable and entertaining. We might spend years in education, reading books, surfing internet but through actual tours and expeditions one can easily obtain rich, practical and much valuable information and first hand relevant experience. Travel teaches us about the oneness in the variety and diversity of life. It provides us with a chance to experience cultures other than our own. At times we think that our way is the only way, but travel gives us a chance to find out that it is just not true. Other countries do things differently than we do - whether or not they do them better than we do is up to the individual assessing the situation.

Our world is a great mixture of places, people, things, built by humans, or other, created by nature. It is like a huge whirlpool, twirling us in its deep layers of knowledge. To travel means to discover. To discover new and unknown facts and images, which are so dryly described in books or on television? Imagine what will be the feeling when you read about the beauty of Venice and see some photos of its canals and squares, compared to the one when you are there. When you travel in a boat along 'Canale Grande', in-breathe the salt air and touch the little blue-greenish waves.

Travel promotes feelings of tolerance and brotherhood. It grows and promotes feelings of nationalism as well. It is an opportunity to see how life goes on outside our borders. There are a myriad of languages to be explored, foods to be tasted, and sights to be seen, and there is always something to be learned by visiting another country.

It makes us realize the importance of time in life, as during travel we know we are here for just a week or so, and we have to cover the maximum sight seeing, try maximum variety of foods, and shopping, local craft etc. Similarly we are limited in time in life also, we are here for just few years, but during our routine we forget this and think as if we are here for eternity, to enjoy life and to live it to its fullest we have to cover and do maximum things each day.

Travel gives us a chance to get in touch with the world outside. To accept different style of life, to take in different view point of the world, to broaden the mind. We are removed from the routine of the mechanical life and transplanted into something entirely alien. The experience cannot fail to stimulate and we begin to have 'moments.' These moments are the brief instances in our lives when we feel that where we are is exactly where we should be and then we gain some insight into a greater truth.

In my opinion, traveling influences our knowledge about the world. Every journey makes us smarter and more experienced. Moreover, we learn how to behave in many different situations. We have chance to discover new cultures, and after that, we can compare it with our own customs and draw intelligent conclusions. When we go to some exotic places, we may admire the beauty which we have never seen before. What's more every journey or trip gives us the possibility to see different, original architecture, cuisine and even beauty of nature. When we travel abroad we are able to find out how other people realize their plans and ambitions.

Travel, when done right, broadens and refresh our outlook on life. Experiencing new people, new customs, new surrounding and new ways to live enrich our life. For those who have limited time off, may spend their precious time for a short vacation. Taking a short term vacation may be just the thing for many workaholics to get away.

Relax, unwind, and get away from it all. Discover the great big amazing world – different cities, different states, and different countries. The beauty that this world posses is beyond words and pictures. I can show you pictures of the Grand Canyon and be very descriptive with words and tags, but I wouldn’t do it justice. Justice can only be served if I tell you to GO there and experience it!

Move away from your comfort zone and journey into someone else’s – this is the most important reason for my travelling, and it is also the most subtle. When I visit a different country, a different state, a different city - I experience the culture within that area. The longer I stay the richer my experience become with that culture, and the more I learn and appreciate the differences in cultures. With experiences comes awareness on how small choices that we make in our immediate surrounding create ripple effects to those outside of our comfort zone.

Most people regard travel as merely a form of relaxation, but it arguably has a moral dimension as well because it challenges us, tests us, and forces us to think about our lives in new categories. If it is true that some of your most fundamental moral obligations are to yourself — to how you live, to becoming the best person you can, and to making the most out of your life — then it’s arguable that you have an obligation to yourself to step outside your daily life, at least occasionally, and learn more about who you are. Or, at the very least, about who you can be when you are not caught up in the rigmarole of that daily life.

One of the biggest rewards of traveling is developing a deeper understanding of our own home as one adjusts to the patterns and realities of other cultures. When we sharpen our ability to observe another culture, we’ll also be able to apply that level of perception and appreciation to our own roots. It also breaks the monotonous routine of daily lives and fill our lives with new energy.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Dream. Discover. Explore. Travel.
